HOW DID YOU WORK OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS TO ADDRESS THE FIVE STEP PLAN YOU LAID OUT IN BLOG POST #6? IF YOU HAVEN’T MADE PROGRESS, EXPLAIN WHY. BE ACCOUNTABLE. EXPLAIN HOW YOU WILL MAKE THE PROGRESS YOU NEED TO MAKE.
Over the past two weeks we have made little progress toward addressing our five step plan. Any professional gymnast could confirm that when it comes to fitness the process is slow and tedious. As is the gathering of information needed to create an informational page about fitness and nutrition. However, I have gained lots of helpful information from Mrs. Kelly Bianco who has been bodybuilding for over ten years. She has explained some of the critical aspects of weightlifting and dieting to me and that will assist me in creating this page. One aspect is your input versus output ratio. You must burn as many calories each day as you put in. Another is that a leading cause of back injury is a result of lifting heavy when your body hasn't fully developed yet. As a group we need to gather more information like the things Mrs. Bianco told us so we can apply them to our workout routines and be more efficient in conveying our information in this website. Also, we are going to make separate workouts and dieting plans for different types of people who are aspiring to reach a different set of goals. For example, A person who is overweight would be looking for a program that would help he/she lose weight in the form of body fat and a different person might be looking for a program that can help them gain weight in the form of lean body tissue (Muscle). If we specialize our Genius Hour page to accommodate for different types of people then we can reach a wider range audience. and therefore achieve and unwritten goal of ours to help more people at one time become who they want to be. My 5 step plan to acheive before May 6th
1. Start teaching classes at the Y and start getting younger kids more aware of their weight and how it affects you when you are overweight. 2. Make our own workout and nutrition plans to share with people trying to lose wight or become healthier. 3. Find out more information and how to train the right way so you don't injure yourself. 4. Instruct and correct younger kids of how to have a healthier diet so they maintain a healthy body. 5. Become physically fit myself so that when I talk to people about the subject they will see that I know what I'm talking about. If your genius hour could be the best it could be, what would it be like?
If my genius hour could be the best it could be, it would have a big impact on many people who want to lose weight or eat healthier. It would be informative and a good tool for people to use to get in shape. What about Ken Robinson's views do you agree/disagree with?
I agree that the amount of standardized tests should be reduced and that the alternative schooling should be used as the main school system so alternative schooling isn't a thing. |
